U. Venkataraman Independent Director

Mr. Venkataraman comes with over three decades of experience in banking with specialization in Foreign Exchange. He was the Chief Dealer Fx at Syndicate Bank and then moved to IDBI Bank to eventually become the Head – Treasury.

Between 2008 and 2015, he was associated with MCX-SX (now known as the Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India) initially as the CEO & Whole time Director of MCX-SX and later as the MD & CEO of MCX-SX Clearing Corporation Ltd significantly contributing to the growth of exchange-traded currency futures market and being responsible for compliance of all RBI and SEBI regulations.

He was also the Chairman of Forex Association of India (FAI) and a well-known guest faculty at various professional institutions.
